CHALLENGE DETAILS

This is your opportunity to commit to your craft and push your boundaries.

  • Create at least 2 eight counts of choreography every day for the entire month of April.  You can absolutely do more.  Just remember you’re committing to this everyday and you want to stay consistent so look at what is manageable in your current schedule.

  • Video yourself (no fancy filming, editing, or setup) and post it in our community thread.  This is intended to be fun and casual. Spend the time on your choreography not ensuring it's perfect or editing your videos.

  • Choreograph any style, use any song/mix..maybe no song/mix.  It can be the same music or different everyday.  Do WHATEVER YOU FEEL!

  • By participating, you open the door to potential collaborations, connections, and opportunities you may not have encountered otherwise. Witnessing the work of others may spark inspiration for your own creations. Lastly, it is an opportunity to cultivate resilience by remaining committed to your craft and nurturing your creativity.

A little Back Story....

Hi my fellow choreographers! My name is Jackie Koegel and I am a full time choreographer and business owner. Whether our paths have already crossed or are about to intersect, we share a common journey as choreographers—one marked by challenges, perseverance, and boundless creativity. As someone who's navigated the complexities of the dance world firsthand, I've grappled with limited opportunities and inadequate support. Too often, talented choreographers find themselves navigating a complex and isolating landscape, lacking access to essential resources, mentorship, and recognition.

That's why I've founded the National Choreographers Organization—a platform where our collective experiences and talents unite. Together, we'll create an inclusive community that nurtures, empowers, and elevates choreographers of all backgrounds.

Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned professional, together, we are not merely creating a platform; we are building a movement—a movement fueled by passion, resilience, and a shared commitment to advancing the choreography industry. Together, we can overcome obstacles, harness our collective strength, and shape a brighter future for choreographers nationwide and the communities they serve.
